My mug use is for hot cocoa only and the last couple of evenings on the prairie have been both cold and snowy and icy. Perfect for that cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows floating on top.
I'll also use them for cream soup -- nothing like a mug of soup (often tomato) and a grilled cheese sandwhich for a winter luncheon.
Husband Jim is happy with his new breakfast coffee mugs and I'm happy with the addition to my blue and white collection.

Thank you for coming to see me at the Hostess! My Husband is from Douglass and Derby outside Witchita. I love Kansas and tried to move there to do there very thing you are writing about but... my Husbands work takes too far afield! I will read along with you, lovely blog! Be well, The Hostess
Martha! I love your mugs! I am especially interested in your amaryllis container I see in the background. LOL Sorry to hear of your storms, hope you are well.
Blessings, Barb (2SoldiersMom)
Beautiful mugs! I love to have soup in a mug! ☺ Diane
Love your mugs. My husband likes to have his soup in a mug as well. I still prefer a bowl. I may have to track me down some of these mugs.
A cup of hot chocolate sounds pretty good except for the fact I live in southern California & today it is suppose to be in the 80's. I prefer when it is in the 60's (our winter temps), then it kind of feels like winter. Glad we don't have to deal with ice storms.
Enjoy your hot chocolate!!!
What pretty mugs! I really like your blue and white planter below, with the paperwhites in it! Very pretty piece! :) ~Rhonda
Blushing Hostess -- our part of the prairie is about 3 hours due east of Wichita.
Barb -- the container is not amaryllis but paperwhites -- it's a repro of an early piece that I bought in a museum shop in Washington DC eons ago -- for I've loved blue and white for a long time!
Kim -- an advantage of ice storms -- hot chocolate!
I love your new mugs and I would use them all the time. I sometimes like my afternoon tea in a mug. I can wrap my hands around it and feel the warmth.

These are gorgeous mugs! I just love blue and white! I can so see hot chocolate in those. That's my absolute favorite treat...
XO,
Sheila :-)
