Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

Viruses are No Fun!

Not me, thankfully, but my computer.

An evil lethal virus attacked the computer last Friday . . . . and after spending a looong time on the phone with "techies", the computer was deemed to be terminal and in need of hospitalization.

I limped along with the sick beast all weekend and Monday bright and early to the "hospital" it went. It came back late this afternoon, hopefully cured.

Hopefully, tomorrow life at Linderhof and Lines from Linderhof returns to normal.

(I can't tell you how MUCH I got done yesterday with no computer time!)

Celebrating that your computer is all better.
Sorry she got sick in the first place.
I use to not understand how a computer could get a virus...boy, have I gotten an education.
God Bless,

Nssty stuff, those viruses. Hopefully this will be the end and the computer is back on track. It is very upsetting.

I wondered why you had not posted on your blog. I'm glad to know that it was your computer with the virus instead of you and it sounds like all is well.

Sorry about your virus. The modern world of technology is frustrating and stress filled at times. Hopefully you'll be able to make up for lost time.

Those mean nerdy people who sit around with nothing better to do than to write code to cause other people trouble... well, they should take up blogging instead of creating viruses. What a pain!

When you get ready to upgrade your machine, you should consider a Mac. They are not affected by viruses. Almost all viruses attack Windows and since Macs don't run Windows, they are not bothered. I truly love my Mac... so easy to use and even stylish for the desk, a great free package that includes photo editing and movie making software too. And for $100/yr. you can get a personal one-on-one lesson at the Apple Store every week to learn how to do all the cool stuff. Okay, I'm beginning to sound like a commercial, aren't I?
