Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

Presentation

A lot of times it is not what you prepare but how it looks once it is prepared. A ceramic pumpkin surrounded by thin cranberry nut cookies.
A dip for the cookies -- one of those packaged dip mixes that you find in gift shops. This was pumpkin cheesecake. With a lot of cream cheese and a little butter and the mix, you have a sweet cheeseball.
However, I chose to put mine in the pumpkin -- and the pumpkin and cookies on a brown and white transferware plate.
In a rush of a day, it was my offering to a communal appetizer table. It was tasty for I brought home an empty pumpkin and plate.
