Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

A Breakfast for Three

Daughter Sarah was home a weekend or two ago. Time for a special breakfast for a special daughter.
Dishes are blue and white and I love to mix and match -- Johnson Brothers Asiatic Pheasant plates, Spode Blue Room mugs and a blue and white damask napkin. I feel that any and all blue and white go together quite well (unlike other colors which tend to clash). I love my blue and white and it's fun to pull different pieces from the cabinets to use for a meal.
Jam butter in wee blue and white oriental bowls, cream in a Johnson Brothers Indies creamer and a blue willow platter holds ham and scrambled eggs.
It was a leisurely breakfast as it should be when Daughter Sarah comes home and we can visit. We lingered over the French press coffee and found that the morning passed all too quickly.

It's Thursday which means that it's time for Tablescape Thursday with Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. It's always fun to see everyone's tablescape this Thursday.

What a beautiful tablescape. Love the fact you do not use placemats! The table is too beautiful to cover.

I always love your table-settings and all the lovely blue dishes. My daughter makes her coffee in a french press too. I am just a tea drinker, so her cousin had to show her how. I wouldn't know good coffee from bad coffee.
