Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

Tulips in Pink

Are not blooming in my garden but they are only $5 a bunch at the market. For $5, I'll bring a bit of spring inside to Linderhof . . . and for some reason, the pink seems more springlike than the orange or yellow that are the other choices.

It's a bit of spring when . . .
The outside looks like this once again!

Sigh -- this has been a long and cold and snowy winter!

Please join Beverly at How Sweet the Sound to see what other pinks there are for this Saturday.

Lovely tulips. Yes it has been a long, cold winter. We all could use a touch of spring in the home.

That looks like SUCH a cozy reading spot!!!! I think I'm comin' over.

Oh, and our "outside" is looking A LOT like yours too - - - minus the sun and plus flakes flying in the air RIGHT NOW.

But I do love winter - - - it makes one ENJOY a lovely reading chair like yours, and a fire in the fireplace, and a warm snug house.

Just a short time away Spring will return. Lovely pink tulips.
Florida has been having an insane Winter. We freeze, then it rains, then freezes again (ugh).

Stay warm.

Stay warm and enjoy your Pink tulips. I love tulips and plant them but it makes me sad to see them fade so quickly after they bloom in the Spring. I wish they would last longer. Oh how I wish I could see them in Holland just one time and walk in the fields of color that I see in photos and on postcards. Hopefully one day I will travel there.

The tulips are perfect for Pink Saturday. The snow will eventually melt, so hang in there. You'll be in the garden before you know it.
