Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

Tea for a Friend

Friend Joyce called to see if she could come by to pick up something that she wanted to borrow. "You have time for tea?" I asked her and of course, she did. I was still in my recovery stage which means that treats are still the boughten shortbread. And although Walker's is good, it's not as good as what I make!

And because I felt like we had something to celebrate, I decided to set a silver tray with the silver teapot!
And used the Spode Famille Rose and two wee English teaspoons.
We took tea in the living room -- the wing chairs are perfect tea chairs and the coffee table makes a good repository for the tea tray.

It's always fun to share tea and although this was a morning nosh instead of an afternoon one -- it is still nice to be able to sip tea and nibble a "biscuit" with a friend!

It's Tea Party Tuesday -- please join these lovely ladies for some tempting teas!

When tea is treated in this manner, it becomes an event even when there's "boughten" shortbread.
