Two roads lead to Bransford in Wochestershire in the UK. The first road a very long one -- all the way from Kansas to the Cotswolds to Bransford. The other long as well -- all the way from Normandy in France to Much Marcie to Bransford.
And the place the two roads met at . . .
The Bear and Ragged Staff -- for a Sunday Pub Lunch of
And the reason for traveling all the way to Bransford . . .
Was to meet Maggie from My Normandy Life who was also on holiday in the UK!!!! It's always great to meet another blogger and Maggie is a delight. My Normandy Life has been a Linderhof friend since I've found her blog so I can keep up with new posts.
Of course, Maggie and I talked "blog" while Husband Jim and her Roger talked "blog husband" (you have to ask if the picture's been taken before you start eating" and "you have to remember that when pictures are being taken no elbows or other 'body parts' are to be seen!")
It's always great to meet another blogger and we had a great time and I must admit that the time passed all too quickly!
Soon it was time to say goodbye . . . and as we drove away . . .
Maggie being the ultimate blogger took pictures for her blog!
But the best surprise of all was this . . .
A wonderful plate from Maggie. To be used and cherished at Linderhof. When I left Kansas, the last thing I thought of was meeting another blogger and so . . . I came to England unprepared. I had nothing to bring!!!
But Husband Jim was . . . and he gifted Roger with . . .
A Fort Scott T-Shirt . . . and I believe I heard Maggie say as they got in the car that "that will be my new night shirt"!
We've had computer problems the last couple of days -- and so our English adventures have been "on hold". But we're up and running again now and I've got a camera full of photos!

What a special treat to meet a blogging friend especially one that is so very far away. Who would have thought? A lovely gift from a lovely lady.

We're all wishing we could have been flies on the wall - or better yet, guests at the next table! What fun it must have been to finally meet face-to-face, halfway around the world!
That's hilarious about the "blog husband" .... we've absolutely got them trained haven't we? Or maybe they are just so kind and helpful anyway....but, mine is the same. The other day I forgot to take pics of the chocolate cake and he said.."don't you want to take a picture before I poke my fork into it?"... and up I jumped to get the camera....
what fun for you two bloggers to have a chance to meet and enjoy each other's company ....
I must have missed this post Martha.
Looks like you had a great meet-up!
Food looks good too :o)
Martha,
So glad you and Maggie had the opportunity to meet in person! Cherish the times when our correspondence takes us to the ultimate meeting of a fellow blogger. The conversation flows so easily and nervousness is non~existant! Good to see you up and running. Thank you for taking all of us along on your vacation!
Fondly,
Pat
