It's gotten warmer on the prairie -- to warm to breakfast in the garden. We know that garden breakfasting is short lived and we enjoy it while we can. But before we are driven inside to the breakfast room, we sometimes can squeeze a few more weeks of al fresco breakfasting by starting the day on the front porch.

Table for two for breakfast |
A small wicker table with tablecloth and topped with the lace tablecloth that I bought last Friday for $8 -- it's perfect and really prettier than I thought it was!

A mug for Jim and cup and saucer for me! |
A typical breakfast -- farmer's eggs (versus store eggs which we abhor) and slices of whole wheat toast, a bowl of homemade strawberry jam for me (Husband Jim is not a jam person) and today I traded tea for coffee. French press is the preferred method of brewing coffee at Linderhof. The Pittsburg Morning Sun is near my place to be read after breakfast is finished while sipping the last cup of coffee.
Breakfast is done, the paper read, the crossword finished (and yes, I do do it in ink!) and the dishes awaiting a trip to the kitchen for washing. Husband Jim, breakfast finished, has left for the morning, and Oliver and I, once the dishes are done are planning to go out to the garden.

What a great breakfast outdoors, I love this darling table. I'm into the outdoors lately, as I'm at my daughter's 90degree weather, lol!!
Hugs,
FABBY
The breakfast sure appeals to me, Martha!! I am a jam person myself ( we always have homemade). Thank you for commenting on my Texas Sheet Cake and I have never made a white one. You'll have to share the recipe. xo
Oh, Kitty, I will share.
Sounds like an ideal kind of morning. And the lace tablecloth really is lovely! Good find!
Lovely. Sounds like the perfect morning. Have fun in the garden and give Oliver a hug for me.
Love your breakfast nook!
Now this is the proper way to start a wonderful day! I love the generous drape of the new lace tablecloth, and your blue and white is gorgeous, as always. Thanks for inviting us for breakfast. Cherry Kay
I would give quite a lot at the moment for the kind of weather that would allow breakfast outdoors!
