Is a Jolly Holly Elf.
Is joined by a small army of Snowmen
Who all get captured and put into a cello bag, tied with a red ribbon
And plopped in a basket
And taken away . . .
To be party favors for a birthday luncheon.
It was my treat for the guests at our Wednesday Birthday Luncheon Group.
I was the honoree . . . but everyone got a cupcake
(and a slice of real cake)
to take home . . . for themselves . . . for their husband or for their grandchildren!
The cupcakes were easy -- a favorite recipe from Nigella that makes just 12 cupcakes. I added peppermint extract to the batter before I baked.
I frosted them with cream cheese frosting, sprinkled the frosting with white chocolate sprinkles and plopped the snowman into the "snow".
You could use a cake mix (but it would make 24 cupcakes instead of 12 -- but is that bad?).
It's Friday and I'm sharing Frosty with Michael at Rattlebridge Farm for Foodie Friday.
It sounds like a 'Happy Birthday ' might be in order.....!
Why, Happy Birthday! (I, too, have a December birthday....)
What sweet, thoughtful favors. I'm sure everyone was delighted.
Happy Birthday..and these are so cute..
These are cute and I too like to bake a recipe of 12 cupcakes from scratch.
Hope your birthday luncheon was fun.
Your cupcakes are adorable, Martha! Lovin' them! Happy birthday and also Merry Christmas!
