Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

'Twas the Day After Christmas . . .

And all through the house . . .
the company is gone, the cupboard's not bare
for Christmas goodies there still is to share.

We've put away presents
And cleaned up the house

With Dolly at my feet,
And a pot of tea nearby,
And leftover Christmas mince pie

I do on the day after Christmas as I always do

It's time to thank friends near and far
For their thoughtfulness and kindnesses
this Holiday season.

It's a ritual I enjoy.

Oh, I do, too (enjoy the acknowledging of gifts & friendships after the holiday is over). Your table looks very inviting, a welcoming place to write & reminisce.

My sentiments exactly, sit back with a cup of tea the day after and enjoy leftovers. I too am prompt at sending thank you notes.

This photo reminds me of the book 'Christmas with Rosamunde Pilcher' for some reason. Your home is lovely at Christmas, very warm and welcoming and festive.

Martha,
I, too, have been putting my feet up some these past few days! Now, dear one, it is time to make some changes and prepare for the onset of Winter!!!
Fondly,
Pat
