Art Show . . . And We Have A Winner!

We are fortunate enough to have a great

Arts Council

In our little town on the prairie

Every March

they sponsor an Art Show

Husband Jim and I both fancy ourselves photographers.

He being much better than I

And so each year we select three of our photographs

to enter into competition.

Each category has a dollar prize First Place and an Honorable Mention Second.

There is also a Grand Prize selected from all of the First Place winners.

Unfortunately, they group both pros and amateurs together

which means that we amateurs usually don't bring home the prize.

But we do it mostly for fun.

Last night was the Artist's Reception

And we were in attendance

Held at the Danny and Willa Ellis Fine Arts Center

at our Community College

For a small time, we have an amazing and varied amount of art

 And it's nice to see people out and about and interested in this annual event

Imagine my surprise

Was Honorable Mention!

I was gobsmacked!!!

And Husband Jim had to keep me grounded

for I was literally walking on air!

It was a joint effort, however.

I took the picture

but he and I together worked on it so that it would be the best picture it could be.

It paid off!!!

for another great Art Show.

We both will enter again next year

Jim has a goal to get an Honorable Mention!
