Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

A Sunday Afternoon Dessert

Sunday Lunch
a tradition at Linderhof
We often have dessert later in the afternoon
It's strawberry time
And there's no better late Spring dessert than strawberries

Prepared simply, sugared and topped with whipped cream and a sprig of mint
With madeleines -- not ordinary madeleines but mint ones
Served, of course, on a blue transferware sandwich plate
On a tray covered with a red and white cloth
Because it's easy to take to the garden

An easy, breezy summer dessert

It's Thursday and I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday and Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish

Totally agree! I recently served exactly the same - madelines with strawberries and cream. Yummy!
