Bread and Butter Letters
So many this time of year
for so much hospitality is given
And needs to be properly thanked.
I've had a time with notecards.
I think they are ridiculously expensive.
$1.00 or more per card
And they usually come in measly packs of six!
You can find cheaper ones at places like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Tuesday Morning or Home Goods
but sometimes the ones they have don't really fit your personality!
I have, therefore, taken matters into my own hands!
And make my own cards!
Photographs that cost a mere 20 cents to be developed, card stock (a ream for less than six thank you notes would cost), and the proper size envelopes and a bit of glue!
This season, my cards feature Linderhof in the snow.
Come January, it will be pictures of hyacinths or forsythia or paperwhites!
There are lots of bread and butters to be written . . .
The best place is the desk in the living room.
A stash of note cards are in one of the cubbies, ready for more
bread and butters!
I love the desk here --
I can look out to both the front and to the side garden
And if it's sunny, I love the sunlight coming in the window!

What a great idea! They look wonderful.
Linderhof in the snow is so pretty, I bet everyone will love receiving these cards.
I love your note cards. I make my own too, not just to economize but because I'm vain and think some of my photos are as nice as the ones the "pro's" put on their cards!! Besides, I really enjoy doing it.

You should put that photo on your header here!
I make my own cards when I have the time. I really enjoy using photographs of the cats as the cover. Your desk looks like a place I would enjoy spending time. Hugs
I am very impressed with your cards. Sending cards and receiving them is so special, and so lacking today. Linderhof looks so pretty in the snow.
Happy Holidays,
Sam
