It's Groundhog Day!

Today is February 2

Otherwise known as 

"Groundhog Day"

I've heard that the famous Phil has seen his shadow

predicting 6 more weeks of winter

but that's for Pennsylvania!

Not here,

on the prairie of Kansas

And with the overcast sky this morning,

we were hopeful

But, alas, this afternoon,

the sun came out

For just a little bit

Meaning that our groundhog

Saw his shadow

Six more weeks

of winter on the prairie!

A heavy snow is predicted for Tuesday

and bitter cold later in the week.

This winter seems to hang on!
