Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

It's Spring!

It's Spring
The first full day of Spring!

And how do we know that it's Spring at Linderhof?
Not by the calendar

But by the daffy blooming in the garden!

A bouquet for the breakfast room table.

happy spring Martha
I have been thinking about you a lot lately...been cleaning out my cabinets.....I really should use all of these beautiful dishes...Martha would....
Does it matter that very few of my family or friends would appreciate the effort?

Your daffodils are beautiful. Mine have already bloomed out as of last week but I did enjoy them while they lasted. Most of mine are heirloom daffodils. One is a double white/small bloom that puts up clusters of blooms and it is fragrant. Cut some of those for indoors but never took pics.

Enjoy them while they last.

No daffs here yet, but I spotted some buds yesterday.

It's definitely spring in the Pacific Northwest. The forsythia and cherry trees are blooming, and when I walked the dog in the woods this morning, the trilliums are out. Hope you get some springlike weather soon, too. Take care and God bless, xoxo
