Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

Mother's Day

We're greeters at church tomorrow
And tomorrow's Mother's Day

So I spent the afternoon
baking cookies

Daisies and black eyed Susan's
Flowers and Mother's Day just seem to go together
(perhaps it was the childhood custom of wearing a boutonniere  or corsage each Mother's Day)

Packed two to a cello bag

With a bible verse and a "Happy Mother's Day" tag attached

There's a whole basket ready to be taken to church tomorrow.
So each mother can enjoy a nosh with her afternoon tea on Mother's Day

WOW now if the church had a sign outside about those cookies half the town would attend. What a wonderful thoughtful idea and now I wish I had a cookie for breakfast :)

What a sweet thing to do for your congregation! I'm sure all the mothers loved them!
