Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

Boxing Day Brunch

A Christmas Tradition at Linderhof
is Boxing Day Brunch
With family

Christmas is still out and about at Linderhof
The dining room centerpiece is the Christmas Day centerpiece

But the Christmas china is back in the cabinet
and our beloved blue and white now set the table

Boxing Day Brunch at Linderhof

Spiced Apples
Spanish Tortilla
Chicken and Apple Sausage
Easy Sticky Buns
Freshly Brewed Coffee

The spiced apples are a baked apple dish
with a little bit of sherry, a little bit of chardonnay, orange and cinnamon and clove

Chicken and Apple Sausage
Sauteed to perfection

A Spanish Tortilla
A cousin to a frittata
except that it is potatoes and eggs only
The men had to have salsa, too!

And every brunch needs a sweet
Ina's Easy Sticky Buns

A fun way to end the Christmas festivities at Linderhof!

With Jim, Sarah, Andy and Lucy around a breakfast table
