Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

Such a gala occasion deserves the dining room

Perfect for a celebratory lunch!

And a menu at each place

The centerpiece

filled with little cuties and some evergreen
flanked by two vases filled with evergreen, white daisies and some red berries

An old Santa and his pack of toys salt and pepper

Hi Martha, I love your pretty tartan plates combined with the Lenox Christmas plates -- such a pretty pairing! I'm a serious fan of tartan plaids. :) Your Santa salt and peppers are so sweet and your menu looks wonderful. I know I would love the lemon chicken for sure! Your table runner is just exquisite, and your centerpieces are so pretty. I'm sure your lunch bunch enjoyed the Christmas meal!

Visiting from Cuisine Kathleen's -- have a great weekend!

Hugs,

Oh, I know the lunch bunch just loves you like crazy!!! What a pretty table you set for them, and the food....amazing!!! From the Christmas salad all the way down to that beautifully-crafted dessert that looks to be light as a feather! I love it that you used menus, too. I LOVE doing menus for my guests as a little sneak peek of what to expect as well as a nice keepsake of the occasion.

Merry Christmas to you and yours from across the state line!!!
