Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

Linderhof . . . A drive by!

As you drive by National . . . the street where we live

Linderhof looks like this!

In May, the yard always looks lush and green!
And the boxwoods, we like "unkempt" rather than manicured

Besides the planters on the pillars where the stairs end,
there is a window box under the sunroom windows.
Our PEO chapter always sells geraniums as a fundraiser
I am especially fond of red ones!

I planted them today!

They do add a bright spot of red to the front of Linderhof.
When the pansies are replaced with red begonias,
Lindenhof will be all red!

I was in the city today,
I brought something home . . .

You'll find out what next week!

Linder how is lovely in its spring finery. Window boxes are the perfect accoutrement!
You have me intrigued. Is it a carpet?....a lovely fine wool throw?

I love the red geraniums too. They are the most cheerful kind, I think. Can't wait to see and hear what your lovely new find is. Looks like fabric, which gives endless possibilities. xoxoxo
