Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

Out With the Old . . . In With The New --

I was a tease last week
I showed this. . . .

But didn't tell you what
"this"
was . . .

Well, it belongs on

This --
a chair and ottoman for the living room

It replaces

This
which I like because of the color but always felt that it was
"too big"
(Papa Bear's chair)

This one

has curvy lines
along the back and arms
And comes with a cushion for the back

I think it look grand in the living room
And the colors are the same as found in the wing chairs and the chair by the secretary

I do like it better than the old one!

It's by Hickory Chair
Is all of 13 years old!
And came from my favorite furniture consignment shop,
Revival
In the city.

It came was a teeny price tag
but looking at similar new chairs by
Hickory Chair
I got a steal of a deal!

It's hardly worn at all
(a decorative chair rather than a useable chair perhaps?)

The best thing . . .
I was able to fit it in the back of my P T Cruiser!

It's a small change in the living room
But I do think it makes a big statement!

I'm sharing this with Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage

It may have been a decorative chair in its old life, but it looks very, very comfy to me. It fits in with your decor as though you had decorated around it.

Your chair looks very comfy to me, Martha, and how lovely that it works well with your other pieces. It was obviously meant for your home. Isn't it wonderful when we find something like that? Thank you sharing with us and enjoy your day.

Blessings,
Sandi

That looks great. I like how it is detailed yet in general the piece doesn't look busy.
