Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

October is Pumpkin Time

It is October
The time of pumpkins
And the last of the fall decorating!

Not just pumpkins but gourds because I love the orange and yellow and greens
A blue and white bowl full on the dining room table

The oranges and greens go so well with blue and white
The table set for Sunday dinner
For we're having company

The best part of October and pumpkin

Pumpkin Pie!

Topped with real whipped cream

And the very last of the pumpkins . . .

On the bench out front

But this isn't the last of the fall decorating . . .
That part is done by Mother Nature
As the trees sheds their leaves for the winter
piling high on sidewalk and grass . . .
Until we get around to cleaning them up.
