Linderhof

Gardening, Cooking and Decorating on the Prairie of Kansas

Welcome to Linderhof, our 1920's home on the prairie, where there's usually something in the oven, flowers in the garden for tabletops and herbs in the garden for cooking. Where, when company comes, the teapot is always on and there are cookies and cakes to share in the larder.

A Friend For Tea

Friend Janet called and said she was coming to
Fort Scott,
"Stop by for tea", said I

I had my last bag of local blueberries in the freezer
and with them I made blueberry muffins
Perfect for a very warm November tea

The sun created shadows on the table in the breakfast room

The muffins.   I like to top them with a sprinkle of sugar
for a nice crunch.

My "good" transfer ware tea set --
Spode Camilla

It's been such a warm October and November
that we were able to have garden roses on the table!

We nibbled on muffins,
sipped tea and visited

And she left me some of the suet that she came here for.
And promised the most perfect recipe for plum pudding.
